BINGO: What To Do With Your Text Tees

You remember that trend not so very long ago for irreverent text based t-shirts? You know what I mean, someone wearing an 'Arnie's Dinner' t-shirt even though he/she has never been to an actual dinner in their lives.

Jess Cartner Morley said something interesting about said T-shirts becoming text art when layered in an outfit and thus half obscured by a coat for example.

They may also be worn with irony, so for example if you are not someone who spends their time on Free Bingo trying to get money for that villa in Spain you could still walk down the street wearing an I Love Bingo t-shirt.

Your grandma might try to abduct you for her next bingo game but  layered with an old leather jacket and some awesome leggings you'll look more disaffected art student or breezy off-duty model.

TIP: Keep the shirts fitted or if you are going to get them baggy (i.e. they're vintage or borrowed) roll the sleeves slightly to make cap sleeves and consider taking in the waist slightly with a belt or wearing it with a more structured item like a casual blazer.

I used to wear my Girls Boxing t-shirt under my DKNY navy suit back in the 90s--will pull it out again!
