Starting Them Off Young: Social Awarness Through Fashion Awarness

Amid the rampant consumerism that has become part of our modern holiday observances, Christmas is still a time to think about others.

So much in particular is spent on children who seem to grow out of their presents ever quicker.

There are quite a few responsible present options for adults but not for children it seems -until now,

Tea Collection, a super cute childrens clothing retailer has teamed up with The Global Fund for Children to create their 'Little Citizens' collection. 50% of each item sold from this line will go to Benefit The Global Fund for Children.

The Global Fund for Children gives grants to community-based organizations working with vulnerable children and youth. Thus far they have awarded more than $13.9 million in grants to over 364 groups in 72 countries.

Childrens Clothing

Various clothing items can be purchased as sets with an accompanying book published by The Global Fund for children, like the bodysuit pictured above.

I like the sets because the books are beautiful and will help children to understand the social connection behind their new clothes.

I also really like the cotton tote bag for kids because the fad for eco friendly shopping bags has mainly been geared towards adults and really kids should be encouraged to use reusable bags as well.

Long after they've worn these clothes the ideas behind the line will remain with them.

A true Christmas gift that will benefit children everywhere.
