Mi Piaci

Everything about Anna Piaggi is magical. She looks like some half-punk, half-couture, fairy godmother. If I had to meet one person from the fashion industry it would definitely be her.

The two things I like most about her:

-Her blue hair (it just looks right on her)

-Her red Olivetti typewriter that she has used faithfully since 1969

-We have the same nose (almost). Maybe we're distantly related?

What do I like about these?

Their decoration references multiple kinds of indigenous folk crafts, they evoke both modernity and antiquity at the same time (when I see detached collars I always think of 17th century puritans but of course theirs would have been plain white). The asymmetry and simple colour scheme are also used to maximum effect.

How would I wear them?

-over a polo-neck/turtle-neck
-with anything scoop-necked
-over my coat collar
-over a jumper

With anything really. The beauty of this type of accessory is that it has no practical purpose. It is purely decorative and thus you have total freedom to wear it how and where you like.

It may seem a little steep at £100 but I would consider it an investment piece given its versatility.
