If you didn't already love The Sartorialist...

On beauty:

"The girl on the cover of my book, people always comment on how beautiful she is--she's not perfect, but she knows how to make what she has work for her. She's physically flawed--she walks with a limp, one side of her face is a little different than the other, and one arm is slimmer than the other--but I don't see them as physical imperfections. I like that she seems perfect, but she's not. You don't have to be perfect to be beautiful."

Do You Believe in Majique?

Whilst wandering around the never-changing Jewellery department of The Bay* I discovered these spikey beauties on the clearance rack (40% off of clearance price):

My first thought was, 'what's this, they don't sell anything remotely like this at the Bay'. I looked around at the rest of the costume jewellery on offer, plenty of glued on rhinestones, floral motifes, 'ethnic' beads. 'Where the hell did these come form?', I thought.

Then at the checkout,

Cashier: 'Oh my these are different' (Translation: We sell cool shit at The Bay? For Real? This must have been hidden behind the rhinestone drop earrings.)

Me: Ya, you never see stuff like this here (Translation: Oh my god where the hell did these come from? Is there more hidden in the store that I don't know about?)

They are made by an apparently British brand called 'Majique'. They only sell wholesale (and do not have a list of stockists) so if you check out their website you will only be disappointed. You are best off googling the brand name and seeing which e-shops stock it or going down to The Bay* of course.

* The Bay, originally The Hudson's Bay company began life selling beaver furs to Europeans whose lust and apparent need for ridiculous mercury soaked hats could not be satiated. They are now just an ordinary department store that occasionally has fairly good sales.

Can Can

Gardening isn't just for geriatrics and the unemployed -it's for people who really really like watering cans.

Yes, I am currently gardening.

What am I wearing whilst gardening?

My pyjamas mostly (the neighbours don't seem to mind).

A Tank of the Times?

The above is from Forever21 (in Canada too apparently, haven't lived here for six years so everything is new to me).

I'm guessing actual bloggers wouldn't necessarily buy this and that it's more something that your 10 year old cousin would buy.

Creeps me out a bit though.
