TORONTO FASHION WEEK: The Exhibits, Barbie,Some More Barbie And The Unofficial Groundhog of LGFW

Some strange papery dresses decorating the entrance to the reception/exhibit area.
Dresses for the Heart Truth show to raise awareness of heart disease.

This Macaroon dress and chocolate shoes by Moroco Chocolates would be perfect paired with a beer hat filled with espresso. The pearl necklace looks as though it is made from truffles. Perfection!
The L'Oreal team giving make-overs

Opulent gold sofas, chandeliers and lions really set the mood.

Barbie:

Various Toronto fashion designers and personalities were asked to customise a Barbie from Mattel's new Black Label.
Derrick Chetty's Barbie. Nice Barbie Derrick but not so nice leaving your Timothy's coffee cup on your seat after the Orange by Angela Chen show. Call me an anal bitch but stuff like that bugs me especially when there are plenty of trash cans around including one at the exit of the runway room.
The Barbie customised by Susan Langdon (Toronto Fashion Incubator).
David Dixon's Barbie (He used my favourite doll from the Black Label!)

Cake stands filled with Accessories next to a display of plain Barbies so that guests could have a go too.

Offerings from the LGFW boutique:

I fell in love with this bizarre necklace by Marijana Scepanovik.

Ashley Winnington-Ball has made Rusted metal both beautiful and wearable by sealing the rust with a resin-like substance. I love the hair band it's very medieval princess meets Mad Max. I would wear it with my hair braided.

A paradise of Canadian fashion. Loved the killer prints on display especially the offerings from Duy and Zoran Dobric.
The unofficial groundhog of LG Toronto Fashion Week. It took him twenty minutes to get that far out of his hole.

Please  feel free to share your experiences from this season's LGFW  below in the comments section

i agree those shoes and macaroon dress look fantastic ans delicious - how i would love to wear them both but alas i know someone feeling peckish would nibble off a few at the hemline. who am i kidding it would probably be me - especialy if they are violet flavoured as that is one of my top 3 favorites.

Yes it does look a bit like white chocolate.

I tried to get in but it was a struggle just to take those photos. Women were literally tripping over each other to get to the Barbies.

-MFS

I think they were in fact Violet flavoured

Thanks! I think you've sold me on the pheromone spray I shall have to pick some up.
