Sometimes I don't know how much of the real me to put into this blog. There are a number of factors for this; like privacy and PR.
in regards to the later I often wonder if by expressing my honest opinion people will stop reading this blog and I will effectively have shot myself in the foot and possibly have ruined a future writing career.
When I wrote this post on Daria last week I decided to just take a chance.
My May 2010 issue of Interview Magazine kept staring up at me and I knew I had to take the plunge and get some feelings off of my chest.
It's not the first time I've been totally honest. When I review fashion shows I try to be honest about my opinion on fur and on the diversity of models on the runway (both size and race). But last week's post was more than that it was the first time I got really really angry on this blog.
You my readers were all very supportive and wrote very thoughtful comments pointing out things that I had missed and supporting my decision to be so forthright on this blog.
I really appreciate you all taking the time to share your opinion on that post as it was a controversial one and sometimes speaking out is scary.

I really appreciated your opinion on this topic, because it helped to hear the opinion of someone else of another race, and not feel like the stereotypical "angry black woman" because that isn't what I am. Hearing your views helped support that, and help me connect with you as another blogger on a more personal level. Keep being honest!
